Valentine's Day Date Ideas

We're suckers for the hallmark holidays too

Whether you and your significant other plan on staying home, going out, or you haven't even thought about it yet; we've got a special dose of "Things To Do" this week just for you.

THE INTIMATE DINNER

When we think intimate, we think pasta. Our 2 restaurants on this list are:

Fresco. This place has one of the coziest atmospheres in Bozeman and their pasta dishes are fantastic to boot. Make sure you save room at the end for a slice of Tiramisu and an affogato.

Blacksmith Italian. Another fantastic choice for a dinner for 2 on the south side of Bozeman. With authentic Italian roots, some say this IS the spot in Bozeman for Italian

After dinner you'd be remiss to not continue the night with some jazz over at the Tune Up. Jazz Night with Eddie T, which takes place every Wednesday just so happens to fall perfectly on this night of love.

THE COUCH POTATO

For the introverts, the hallmark haters or the parents seeking escape if even just momentarily; these are some ideas for making the best of your couch (Apple Vision Pro not included).

Take out is not equal in this town, but if take out is a must - Thai Basil hits the top of the list. With a website that claims "a little bit of love in every bite", we're not sure how much closer to love we can get. Between curry dishes, soups and noodles if you're getting take out, it mise-well be something that you're not going to be making in your own kitchen.

If cooking together is your thing, we propose making some pizza. Pick up some pre-made dough at Rosauers, along with some sauce and toppings of your choice. Nothing says "I love you" like showing off those culinary skills and enjoying the process together.

After dinner, cap off the night with a movie on Netflix. We too get paralyzed by all the options; thankfully Netflix put out a list of the best Valentine's Day movies.

THE FRIEND ZONE

We get it, not everyone wants the love story. Sometimes being friends is good enough! Here's some places we'd check out for a good time with friends:

Bozeman Bowl. Bowling is an underappreciated competition activity for a good time with friends. At ~$30/hour per lane with $2 shoe rentals after 6pm showing your friend your hidden talents on the laminate lanes could be one way out of the friend zone.

Brigade is a stellar choice for a group of friends on this evening. With happy hour from 3-6 which includes $3 oysters, martinis and draft beers one might argue the French know love best.
