This February, Bozeman's Whole Foods Market celebrates its first year in operation. It’s a significant milestone given that the store located at 2905 West Main Street is the first in Montana and is one of just three in an area that encompasses Boise, ID & Jackson, WY.

Kate Hensley Luna, Store Team Leader in Bozeman, vividly remembers opening day. Despite the 15-degree weather, people eagerly lined up before the store opened. By noon, the store had already reached its projected daily sales volume and to manage the first week's immense demand, the team brought in mobile registers to increase checkout lanes and additional team members were flown in to support the local staff.

The store's success underscores the value of community engagement, an essential element of the Whole Foods brand. This commitment to giving back has been a priority since the store's opening.

For context here are the 2023 giving statistics for Bozeman's Whole Foods Market:

  • 1 refrigerated van: was donated to the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) in July of last year.
  • 3,241 meals were donated throughout the year via “Stuff the Van” events; organized in collaboration with HRDC.
  • 71,458 lbs of food were donated to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, a program of the HRDC.

Looking ahead, the company is ready for another exciting year in Bozeman. They've expanded their services to include store-wide catering options and are enhancing the prepared foods department with an increased variety of ready-made meals. With a keen understanding of Bozeman's fondness for seasonal and local organic produce, they plan to broaden their selection throughout the year.

Boasting what is arguably one of the finest international beer selections in the Gallatin Valley, a visit to the store is an ideal start to the upcoming weekend!
